Subject: [powernet] Dry Cask Storage - neutron energy evaluation and n-ED

TVA External Message. Please use caution when opening.
Perry Nuclear Power Plant would like to know:

1 – During your initial dry cask storage campaign, did you characterize the
neutron energy field? Yes, at several of our nuclear facilities.

2 – After the initial dry cask campaign, have you re-evaluated the neutron
energy for subsequent campaigns for establishing correction factor for TLDs?
We reevaluated ISFSI installations as a result of moving to different type
canisters.

3 – What was the basis for the decision on question 2? ANI Bulletin 11-02.

4 – Have you implemented neutron electronic dosimeters for dry cask storage?
Yes, with very good results.

Thank you.
