Hi everyone

Here at Los Alamos National Laboratory we are considering using electronic
radiation warning signs to supplement our more traditional approach to
radiation warning. Due to the security considerations we would likely need to
use signs with NO wireless capability.

We would most likely use signs that update the rem rate OR perhaps airborne
concentration for an area and have warning levels indicated, i.e., rad, high
rad, very high rad as conditions change. Signs would need to be readable at a
distance so a 18 inch by 30 inch size would likely fit in well with our needs.

Please send me some recommendations on suppliers of such signs and your own
experiences with that type of signage.

Best regards

Tom

To all:

There is a INPO webcast on 1/25. I would like to suggest that you wait until
those discussions are complete before making any decisions regarding
implementation of the bulletin

Comanche Peak would like to know with the new Efficiency Bulletin: 17-02
Self-Protection for Radiological Work Activities the following:

1. Does your plant already allow for non RP Personnel to provide
Self-Protection?

2. Does your plant plan to implement Self-Protection?

3. Does your plant have no intentions of implementing Self-Protection since
it is at the utilities discretion?
