South Texas Project retains all unconditional release surveys in our electronic
survey program. Our release surveys are documented via "text only" surveys -
or a verbal description of what the item is, who approved its release, what the
background levels were, and what the conditions on the object were at the time
of release.

The only caveat we have is that our procedure only requires a documented
release survey when a technician is required to assess the conditions (i.e.,
direct and indirect monitoring with a handheld frisker). We do not require
release surveys on items that are released using a Small Articles Monitor.

Subject: [Powernet] NISP-RP-07 Attachment 1 Unconditional Release Survey

**THIS EMAIL IS FROM AN EXTERNAL SENDER OUTSIDE OF THE STPNOC NETWORK. BE

Comanche Peak would like to know if other plants are saving their Unconditional
Release Survey's from NISP - 07 and retaining them in your sites vault as a
record. Additionally, if you use an electronic survey program with a copy of
Attachment 1, do you keep the survey and document it just like all other
radiological survey's being performed?

Thanks,
