In reference to NUREGs 0472/4073/1301/1302, the REMP LLD equation note that Δt
is defined differently for REMP as opposed to rad effluents.

NUREG 1301, Table 4.12-1, footnote c defines the REMP LLD Δt as:

“the elapsed time between environmental collection, or end of the sample
collection period, and time of counting (sec).”

This differs from the definition of Δt found in 1301, Table 4.11-1 and Table
4.11-2 footnote a:

“the elapsed time between the midpoint of sample collection and the time of
counting (sec).”

The Comanche Peak ODCM (rev 33), Table 4.12-1 footnote (3) defines the REMP LLD
Δt as:

“Elapsed time between the midpoint of sample collection and the time of
counting(s)”

Your ODCM REMP LLD Δt definition differs from the guidance found in NUREGs
0472/4073/1301/1302 as they all use the same definition for REMP LLD Δt.

Obviously, this was is a cut and paste error.

Palo Verde uses elapsed time (end of sample collection period to time of
counting). Please let me know if you have additional questions.

What environmental LLD Δt do other facilities use for their REMP samples?

1) elapsed time between environmental collection, or end of the sample
collection period, and time of counting

OR

2) the midpoint of the sample collection period and time of counting

-----------

During a Review of our REMP program the following was identified:

NUREGs 1301 and 1302 define the environmental LLD Δt as the elapsed time
between environmental collection, or end of the sample collection period, and
time of counting (see NUREG 1301/1302, Table 4.12-1, notation (3)). This is
different from the Δt definition used for liquid and gaseous effluent LLDs,
which is defined relative to the midpoint of the sample collection period. See
NUREG 1301/1302 Table 4.11-1, notation (1) and Table 4.11-2, notation (1).
