Michelle,
At Davis-Besse, we hang our shielding as per the shielding package
instructions. However, we also have a recurring task order that lists each
shield package as a step within the order. One step for installation and a
separate step for removal for each package. The use of the steps within the
order is what gets the shielding installation and removal in the schedule for
us. The other big thing it does for us, is it accounts for necessary man-hours,
particularly during the removal portion. When lay-off time comes, we can
justify keeping supplemental help when we can show the number of P-6 man-hours
still needed for shielding activities.
