Our procedural guidance requires better than 20 dpm within TVA. We currently use the Ludlum Model 12 with scaler option and a 43-92 detector. We are finding that as these instruments age we are not able to achieve the background and efficiency limits that permit us to use 2 minute counting. So we are looking at other options and thought we would see what others are using.
