Jeff, We have used active telemetry online by placing a repeaters on each end of a penetration for conductivity (PWR). We recently pushed fiber through a penetration that will give signal out of containment both on line and during outages (simpler setup). WIFi is available during outage periods but is not used for WiFi cameras due to their limited line of site needs for reliability mostly use POE (power over Ethernet) for camera applications.
