Radiation Protection Techs calibrate the detectors, I&C Techs calibrate/service flow instruments, pressure switches, tubing leaks.... Repairs are directed primarily by RMS Sys Engineer 2. Who calibrates and repairs the installed plant area radiation monitors? Radiation Protection Techs calibrate all area monitors except our four, Containment High Range Area Monitors. These are also our only "Safety Related" RMS components. For these CHRRMs, RP provides & operates the source at the detector and MTI calibrates the drawer from the CR. I&C Techs replace any necessary electrical components. Repairs are directed primarily by RMS Sys Engineer 3. Who is the designated owner of these monitors (e.g., I&C, RP, Engineering, Chemistry supervision, other, etc.)? The RMS System Engineer (Sys-Eng) owns the monitors. 4.
