Please find DC Cook's response in red far below.
Also, to relay the results of a similar set of questions I asked near the
beginning of the year, out of 12 sites that responded, all but two (Cook and
Ferm2) responded that MTI/I&C techs calibrated your installed RMS detectors.
Apparently it's a Michigan thing?

I'd appreciate information on the following:

1. Who calibrates and repairs the installed plant process montors (e.g.,
air and liquid monitors)?
Radiation Protection Techs calibrate the detectors, I&C Techs calibrate/service
flow instruments, pressure switches, tubing leaks....
Repairs are directed primarily by RMS Sys Engineer

2. Who calibrates and repairs the installed plant area radiation monitors?
Radiation Protection Techs calibrate all area monitors except our four,
Containment High Range Area Monitors. These are also our only "Safety Related"
RMS components. For these CHRRMs, RP provides & operates the source at the
detector and MTI calibrates the drawer from the CR. I&C Techs replace any
necessary electrical components.
Repairs are directed primarily by RMS Sys Engineer

3. Who is the designated owner of these monitors (e.g., I&C, RP,
Engineering, Chemistry supervision, other, etc.)?

The RMS System Engineer (Sys-Eng) owns the monitors.

4. If you believe you have a good program, could you please provide a
contact name and phone/email?
Jim Uffner, RP Sr Tech, RP Instrument Group, 269.465.5901 x2014 /
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> for our outgoing Eberline and
Westinghouse components.
We are currently performing a 100% system replacement, removing Eberline and
Westinghouse, and installing all Mirion components, so we are all feverishly
learning now.

Thanks!
