Ok what I get is a dialog with The 'resume' parameter for the kernel is missing. Suspend to disk and resume is not possible without it. Please check your boot loader configuration and reboot. I assume this is due to using software suspend 2 and not vanilla suspend-to-disk? How can I get the autosuspend feature woking? I read the following thread which focuses the same problem: http://forge.novell.com/pipermail/powersave-devel/2006-January/000273.htm I also tried klaptopdaemon and autosuspend works fine with it. I just had to increase the LAV a bit.
