OK, I found a bit more on this. I took the trouble to reinstall openSuse 10.1
from
scratch and it worked again...for a while. I've tried it a few times and they
all
worked (with a different screensaver each time, because the default is
"random").
Next, I started to configure the system to my likings. Stuff like, the latest
amarok
and kaffeine from packman and gure, desktop layout changes, extra windeco's, ipw
firmware, etc. All basic stuff. Next, I tried it again and it doesn't work
anymore!!
I'm completely puzzled by this. I suspect a xorg or yast issue. I've disable
drm in
xorg.conf and after resume it behaves a bit different. I see for a very short
moment
the wait clock mouse pointer on a blanked (and black) screen, then for some
longer
period (2 secs) the normal mouse pointer, then the screen blanks completely for
about 4 secs and then it starts over again. Something's looping!
Here's my suspend2ram log:
suspend2ram initiated: 2006-05-16 07:07:46
Debug info follows here, please include in your bug reports. Thanks.
