In accordance with the suggestion that I take my question to "the mailing list" I wanted to let the fine developers of powersave know that there is something 'off' with the powersave daemon as relates to the brightness on my laptop. (oh, a pun...)
Running 'powersave -K' and 'powersave -L' produced the same output: Brightness not supported. Now, it's not a big deal by anymeans, but I know SOMEONE has figured out how to get it to work, because I was able to control the brightness when I used klaptop (or whatever it's called). While it isn't nearly as good as powersave+kpowersave, it was nice to be able to dim the laptop when away from an outlet. Also, I was instructed to "submit a patch," which I'd love to do... but my skills lie in the realm of web development, not acpi control :) But I am glad to provide any logs or readouts or whatever might be useful. -Sean -- Sean Kellogg c: 831.818.6940 e: [EMAIL PROTECTED] w: http://blog.probonogeek.org/ So, let go ...Jump in ...Oh well, what you waiting for? ...it's all right ...'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown _______________________________________________ powersave-devel mailing list [email protected] http://forge.novell.com/mailman/listinfo/powersave-devel
