A DEEP CONCERN OVER RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION
I got the message this afternoon:
This morning a radical muslim group came to a Catholic Church in Ciledug. They came
with 100 angry muslims to demand the closure of the Multipurpose Building as the
worshipping place. These muslims call themselves "Islam Karang Tengah" Ciledug. But
among them there are FPI members.
I am so sad to know that this kind of religious persecution still happens in
Indonesia. I don't believe this kind of thing help the muslim communities to build
their image. This small groups of muslim may harm the whole muslim community in
Indonesia.
This is a form of terrorism against their own brothers and sisters. If this still
continues to happen, then, I am sure, with the new Presiden Mr. Yudhoyono, they will
be no mercy at all to crack them down.
Don't let the religion be destroyed by those irrational people.
