The following defense contracts were announced Friday. VSE Corp. (VSEC), Alexandria, Va., received a $543.9 million cost-plus-award- fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide foreign navy continuous life-cycle support services for naval vessels bought, sold or otherwise transferred through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program to FMS customers. Services provided under this contract include design, configuration management, field engineering, maintenance planning, maintenance, spare parts support, training, casualty and depot level repair. The contractor provides engineering, technical, procurement, logistics, test, inspection, calibration, repair, maintenance, equipment upgrade installation, and overhaul support services including reactivation to safe-to-sail status. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va. and in various locations throughout the world as required by FMS customers. Work is expected to be completed by April 2010. Northrop Grumman Corp. (NOC), San Diego, Calif., received a $143 million contract modification to provide for contract price increases and funding to account for Global Hawk EMD Overrun. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright- Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity. Boeing Co. (BA), St. Louis, Miss., received an $18.5 million contract modification to exercise Lot 1 Option for Small Diameter Bomb Increment I ( Fixed/Stationary Target) Low Rate initial Production for munitions, carriage, and associated trainers and technical support. The Small Diameter Bomb Increment I weapon system consists o a 250-pound class munition, and Air Force common 4- place miniature munitions carriage system, and associated mission planning and logistics support. The weapon system, designed to be compatible with fighters, bombers and several Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, is capable of significant standoff ranges against fixed and stationary targets. The Small Diameter Bomb Increment I weapon system increases weapon loadout, allowing more kills per sortie than current inventory weapons, decreases collateral damage, and possesses an effective, day/night, adverse weather, stand-off capability. The work will be complete September 2006. Northrop Grumman Corp. (NOC), Rolling Meadows, Ill., received a $17.2 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for fiscal year 2005 Litening Targeting Pod System and Spares, (ANG 8 +1; AFRC 5+1 Pods). The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. The work will be complete December 2005. Stewart & Stevenson Services Inc.'s (SVC) Tactical Vehicle Systems L.P., Sealy, Texas, received a $97.6 million modification to a firm-fixed-price and cost-reimbursement contract for Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle Trucks. Work will be performed in Sealy, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 15, 2008. Rolls-Royce Group PLC's (RR.LN) Naval Marine Inc., Walpole, Mass., received a $10.2 million modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for new M9 Actuators, Corners, and Intermediates. Work will be performed in Walpole, Mass. (80 percent) and Winslow, Maine (20 percent), and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2006. Stewart & Stevenson Services Inc.'s (SVC) Tactical Vehicle Systems L.P., Sealy, Texas, received a $6.8 million modification to a firm-fixed-price and cost-reimbursement contract for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System Launcher Chassis.
