Tapi di Indonesia malah pada KEBLINGER eng ing eng salam 12/23/05 Masterpieces of the Intangible Heritage Proclaimed by UNESCO Tehran, 12 December 2005 (CHN) -- Upon the recommendation of the international jury for the Third Proclamation, UNESCO has proclaimed 43 Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity from all regions of the world.
Due to the large number of applications (70 candidate files), received for evaluation, the International Jury Meeting for the third proclamation took place from 21 to 24 November 2005, and was followed by the proclamation ceremony on 25 November 2005. The Director General proclaimed a list of 43 cultural spaces or forums of traditional and popular expressions (9 in Africa, 12 in Asia, 11 in Europe, 4 in the Arab States, 7 in Latin America and the Caribbean, 4 of them are multinational candidatures) which represent outstanding examples of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity testifying to the world's cultural diversity and richness. "The considerable experience accumulated in the course of these six years of the proclamation in terms of the methodology for the identification and selection of the masterpieces and the concrete lessons learned from the safeguard plans currently in operation, is an irreplaceable template that will prove to be priceless for us when it comes to implementing the convention," said Director General, in his opening speech at the meeting of the international jury for the proclamation. The Bistritsa Babi- Archaic Polyphony, Dances and Ritual Practices from the Shoplouk Region (Bulgaria) 9. Sbek Thom, Khmer Shadow Theatre (Cambodia) 10. The Art of Uygur Muquam of Xinjiang (China) 11. The Cultural Space of Palenque de San Basilio (Colombia) 12. Oxherding and Oxcart Tradition in Costa Rica (Costa Rica) 13. Slovacky Verbunk, Dance of Recruits (Czech Republic) 14. Cocolo Dance Drama Tradition (Dominican Republic) 15. Rabinal Achi, Dance Drama (Guatemala) 16. Ramilia: the Traditional Performance of the Ramayana (India) 17. Indonesian Keris (Indonesia) 18. The Tenore Song, and expression of the Sardinian pastoral culture (Italy) 19. Kabuki (Japan) 20. Olonkho, Yakut Heroic Epos (Russian Federation) 36. The Kankurang, or Manding Initiatory Rite (Senegal-Gambia) 37. Fujara: Musical Instrument and its Music (Slovakia) 38. The Patum of Berga (Spain) 39. The Mevlevi Sema Ceremony (Turkey) 40. Bark Cloth Making in Uganda (Uganda) 41. The Space of Gong Culture (Vietnam) 42. The Makishi Masquerade (Zambia) 43. Mbende, Jerusarema Dance (Zimbabwe) During the previous meetings in 2001 and 2003, 47 masterpieces were proclaimed. Although the traditional Nowruz ceremony was also supposed to be inscribed in the list, unfortunately due to the incomprehensiveness of the file and the lack of coordination between the applicant countries, Nowruz has not been inscribed in the list yet. However, according to the authorities, Iran is going to complete the file for further revising by the members of jury, hoping to include this traditional ceremony to the list of UNESCO's intangible heritage --- End ------------------------ Yahoo!
