Masih banyak orang mengira istilah "korban" dalam Bahasa Indonesia berasal dari Bahasa Arab: "qurban" (English: sacrifice). Masih cukup banyak pula orang mengira upacara Qurban adalah murni ajaran Islam, terkait ritual ibadah haji di Tanah Suci sebagai Rukun Islam dan pemotongan hewan korban pada perayaan Idul Adha. Untuk istilah "korban", ternyata Arab dulu "mencomotnya" dari bahasa Ibrani yang sudah beribu tahun digunakan masyarakat pengikut ajaran Abraham sebelum munculnya agama Islam pada abad ke-6. korban (Ibrani) -> qurban (Arab) -> korban; kurban (Indonesia) --- deleted --- Pesan terakhir dari seorang teman "If the Christians, Moslems, and Judaism born from the same land, same father, same ethnic, and same teachings, why are we fighting and blaming each other til these days? Why do we fight our own religions? If the teachings came from the same root...why Christians born? Why moslems born? Because of the polaritation between Jews and Arabs... Are the religions ONE? Same teachings different people make different religions...
