President Abbas Meets President Al-Assad
DAMASCUS, July 06, 2008, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas met on Sunday with
President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus.
The two leaders discussed the peace process , situation on the Palestinian
arena and some ideas to achieve the Palestinian national unity through
comprehensive PalestinianPalestinian dialogue.
Meeting also tackled the mutual relations between Syria and PLO as well as the
Palestinian Israeli track and Syrian Israeli one.
For his part, President al-Assad affirmed his support for the Palestinian cause
in a way that serves the national and Arab interesst.
