*Free Gaza Movement sends third boat to Gaza* CYPRUS, September 25, 2008 (WAFA) The Free Gaza Movement yet again set sails toward Gaza this morning in order to end the Israeli siege symbolically by sailing in from the seaside bringing medicine and other equipment for the 1,5 million women, men and children living under blockade in Gaza. This morning the Free Gaza Movement held a press conference at Larnaca port in Cyprus, in order to draw the attention of the world towards the small group of doctors, journalists, human rights workers and others leaving on the boat "Hope", trying to "bring back hope to Gaza", according to spokesperson, Huwaida Arraf. In August, the group successfully coordinated sailing in "Free Gaza" and "Liberty" boats from Cyprus to Gaza, reaching the coast on August 22 and thereby symbolically ending the Israeli siege. With this third boat the Free Gaza Movement wishes to draw international attention to the situation of the Palestinians under siege and to bring aid and volunteers into the territory under blockade. Despite the 2005 disengagement, Israel is still controlling the air space and patrolling the coasts.
