Capt. Abdul Muhsin Al-Mayman, spokesman for the Makkah police, said the woman was waiting for her husband who went for prayer when the two criminals, believed to be of African origin, attacked her. "The two Africans were drawn to the jewelry the woman was wearing and decided to rob the lady," Al-Mayman said. He said the criminals jumped inside the vehicle only to be shocked by the woman who fought them off with a knife that she pulled from her purse.
