*Iran considered 15th major carmaker in world* *Tehran*, Feb 11, IRNA -* Iran is the 15th major carmaker in the world*, said the managing director of Saipa Sazeh-Gostar Company, adding car production in the country has increased by 20 percent each year during 1990s. Addressing the ongoing third national conference on projects logistics and procurements, Saeed Madani noted that perhaps Iran-made cars are lower in quality than the products of other countries but they are different in comparison to those made 15 years ago. Annual car production in the country has increased from 200,000 to more than 1,200,000, he said, noting that Iran has attained self-sufficiency in the field. The conference will wrap up Thursday.
