*Foodex Japan, an opportunity for introducing Irans culture* *Tokyo*, March 4, IRNA *Successful presence of Iran in the International Foodex Japan 2009* can help introduce the countrys culture to the world, said Irans ambassador to Japan. Talking to IRNA on the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony of the 34th such event, Abbas Araqchi added that Japan foodstuff market is a very attractive venue for the Iranian products, including vegetables, fruits and dried fruits. Despite the fact that conditions are prepared for the Iranian private and state sectors in the event, unfortunately, Iranian companies are not participating in an integrated manner, he said, noting that a limited number of Iranian companies are present at the event on their own initiative and expense. Stating that Irans Development and Commerce Organization should focus on Japans foodstuff market, Araqchi added that although presence at the countrys market requires higher standards, participation of several Iranian companies proved that entering it is not impossible. Foodex Japan is held annually in Japan. With over 30 years serving as Japan's top trade food and beverage show, Foodex Japan is renowned as an established and rewarding event.
