I think I misunderstood this issue because reading this comment https://github.com/apache/cassandra-gocql-driver/pull/1785#discussion_r1850298003 made me believe that we actually have no way of differentiating between a NULL and empty value from the database. It looks like there is indeed a way of doing this even if it requires a bit of extra code, correct?
