The CI and tests should probably be optimized in the future. Preparing a bunch of tests for just compressor functionalities sounds good to me. I don't see much gain running all integration tests through different compressors. I think we can do some optimization on the matrix, maybe making the older go version run a single combination, I don't see much gain in running every combination for both go versions.
