Dear Kakak Kakak, Ini Informasi lebih lengkap yang akan dimuat sebagai bulletin 1 yang akan dikirim ke NSO di ASEAN. Maaf baru detail ini yang bisa keluar. Welcome to the ASEAN Scout JAMBOREE! Simply one ASEAN Community The ASEAN Scout Jamboree is simply a one ASEAN community Jamboree. The ASEAN Scout Jamboree mirrors the Scout world in Southeast Asia. All of the diversity, culture, and knowledge from ten Southeast Asian Countries are gathered in one place, Jakarta. The event itself is hopefully can be found as an inspiring event and can contribute to the development of Scouting and community in Southeast Asia. Scouting today delivers the answer to the needs of young people in the world, particularly in Southeast Asia. This ASEAN Scout jamboree proposes a modern program that provides an answer to the challenges presented by the society to the young people. The Scouting method is a fundamental element of the ASEAN Scout jamboree. The Scout method is a basic building block for every activity that will be found in the ASEAN Scout Jamboree. We are working in small groups, we are trusting adolescents to create their own experiences and we provide value-based leadership that is attentive and supportive. All parts of the Jamboree experience are simply scouting and all are equally important. The ASEAN Scout Jamboree is a camp where unplanned meetings are as valuable as the planned meetings. Every element of camp life- building, cooking, singing, gathering are all challenge Scouts to develop new skills and to meet, connect and work towards developing brotherhood and cultural understanding among us. What is a Bulletin? The purpose of the ASEAN Scout Jamboree bulletin is to provide National Scout Organizations in Southeast Asia with all information they need, at the right time, to help to prepare for the ASEAN Scout Jamboree. We have planned bulletin to be issued once every month throughout the preface to the Jamboree. The bulletin will be sent out by our National Headquarter directly to the National Scout Organization’s headquarter. In addition to the bulletin, there are several ways to find information, the website being the main one. Meetings The ASEAN Scout Jamboree is organized to encourage meetings: meeting across cultures, characters, interests, religions, countries, and more. Everything at the ASEAN Scout Jamboree will take this into consideration. The meetings either formally or informally are highly recommended in order for us to successfully achieve the purpose of creating one ASEAN community that is prosperous and understanding each other. Green Jamboree The ASEAN Scout Jamboree in Jakarta means one thing: being close to the nature. Closeness to the nature also reveals the helplessness of our environment. Whenever possible across the jamboree, we will demonstrate sustainable environmental practice and camping with leave no trace concept. The program aims to equip young people so that they can be ready to take action to help the environment. Solidarity Solidarity means being a part of the global scout movement. At the ASEAN Scout Jamboree, we all share values and common goals: to create one ASEAN community and the development of young people for life. Solidarity means recognizing connections between peoples and how dependent we are on each other. The ASEAN Scout Jamboree will emphasize the common responsibility we have toward the world and each other. Solidarity encompasses how we are treating others, and includes respect, equal rights, and peace. At the ASEAN Scout Jamboree, are all equal, regardless our backgrounds, personal beliefs, and status. The Jamboree Programs Subcamp Life The subcamps are the homes of the Scouts at the ASEAN Scout Jamboree. This place is where most of the everyday cam life takes place: sleeping, cooking, cleaning, etc. At the ASEAN Scout Jamboree scouts will have the tools to create their own home and have plenty time to socializing at the subcamps. The c lose environment of the subcamps makes it very easy to get to know new friend from other Southeast Asian countries and to build genuine understanding of each other. At the ASEAN Scout Jamboree, sub-camps make it possible for each Scout to influence and create his or her own Jamboree experience. Participation in the ASEAN Scout Jamboree All scouts participating in the ASEAN Scout Jamboree must be registered members of a National Scout Organization. If your country has several Associations, you will need to come together in one contingent. Contingent staff Please prepare at least 20 staff as contingent staffs to handle the contingent’s errands and coordinate with local committee to manage the contingent’s needs. Contingent’s staffs are coming and leaving the Jamboree site together with the rest of the contingent. Participants and unit leaders Participants at the ASEAN Scout Jamboree are young people with age ranging from 13 to 16 years of age. The Scout troop size is 36 young people and 4 adult leaders. Each country is expected to be able to send at least 4 (four) troops. The activities at the Jamboree are designed for the youth age 13 to 16 years of age. The philosophical reason behind the decision of age group is that the youth of that age already have an understanding about their country; they are ready to learn more about their responsibility to their country as well as their region. The unit leaders are the adult Scouts that will assist the unit during the ASEAN Scout Jamboree and will work together with the contingent staffs to solve the unit’s problem. International Service Team The position of International Service Team (IST) will be open to all scouts aged 18 or over. Members of the IST should be able to speak English and hopefully another world language such as Arabic, French, Spanish and or another Southeast Asian language. Jamboree Motto “One spirit, One Promise, One ASEAN Community” With the mutual spirit of the ASEAN Scout Jamboree, the Scout of Southeast Asia want to show the world that the ASEAN scout is ready to serve the ASEAN community that is aligned with the spirit of one century of scouting. ASEAN scout wants to show the world that we are ready to fulfil our promise to build and guide the community toward a prosperous ASEAN community. Theme “DEVELOPING BROTHERHOOD AND CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING” The diversity in Southeast Asian countries is a precious treasure for our generation and the next. Through this jamboree we are trying to discover the magnificence of the cultural diversity in Southeast Asian countries and appreciate its importance as a valuable building block toward building an ASEAN community that is united in diversity. Sub theme “Brotherhood toward peace and prosperous South-East Asian Community.” Jamboree Logo The jamboree logo incorporates few things. The upper part framed with the shape of “gunungan” (symbol of the mountain in Javanese shadow puppet show), inside the “gunungan” is the silhouette of the coconut’s spring as the Indonesian scout logo and a tent. On the background are the branches of a tree. On the lower part is the word art of the ASEAN Scout Jamboree, the date of the event, Indonesian flag ribbon, fleur de lyst, and the ASEAN logo as a symbol that unites 10 countries in Asia. General explanation:
Gunungan The shape of the mountain in general expresses the beauty, greatness, and exploration. These ideas are very much in the vicinity of with the scout that loves to have adventure, love to explore and has a big heart. While in Javanese culture, the “gunungan” is the symbol of the mountain of life. In the mountain of life, God mixes the basic elements of life that consist of “Geni” or fire, “Bantala” or earth, “Banyu” or water and “Bayu” or wind. Tree Today, our world face the threat of global warming, one of the single largest contributor is the hiking rate of pollutant gasses and the rapid dwindling of the trees in the world. Through the placement of the icon of the tree in the logo expresses the idea that the Scout is very friendly with the nature and that the Scouts are aware with the environmental problem and are willing to help to recover the environment. Font The reason behind electing the type of the sanserrif (without curve) as font in the logo is because this font is elegant and easily readable in any size. This is to show that scouts are elegant and flexible. The Color Theme The Orange color is chosen because it shows the warmness, energic, flexible and strong. This is aligned with the spirit of scouts these days: Up to date with the technological advancement, aware with the global issues and ready to answer the challenges presented by the community these days. Where is the Jamboree? The ASEAN Scout Jamboree will be held at the Cibubur scout Campground, Indonesia. The cibubur campground is located approximately 30 kilometers southeast of the Downtown Jakarta. It took approximately 40 minutes using the Jagorawi Tollways on non-rush hour.
