Give your Immune System a Boost

I am sure that you have been told at least one time in your life that
being cold makes you sick. Mothers tell their kids to bundle up in the
rainy season so not to catch a cold. Yes, it is true that people are
more likely to get sick in the rainy season, but it is not the cold
weather that causes it. The reason why people are more likely to get
sick in the rainy season is because we stay indoors more often and thus
we are more likely to catch a cold or get sick from those around us.

Makes sense doesn't it?

Dry season officially started on January. And depending on where you
live, you can either tell it is dry season by the temperature outside or
the color of the leaves, or you are still waiting for the signs if you
live in a warm climate.

There are some simple things that you can do in the dry and rainy season
to increase your chances of being healthy and preventing sickness:

-Look in the mirror and repeat "I am healthy" three time each morning.
This is the most important step, and will program your subconscious mind
to keep your body healthy.

-Eat well: make sure you are getting the vitamins and nutrients you need

-Drink plenty of water

-Get 8 hours of sleep every night

Each of these basic steps will increase your chances of remaining
healthy throughout the dry and rainy months.

It is important to eat well and drink plenty of fluids. Your body needs
many vitamins and nutrients to remain healthy and to fight off sickness.
Lacking certain nutrients can cause your immune system to weaken, which
makes it harder to remain healthy. Drinking plenty of fluids is
important. Staying well hydrated will help you feel better and rinse
your body of toxins.

Make sure you get plenty of rest. It's important to get 8 hours of sleep
every night so that your body stays healthy and strong. Getting plenty
of sleep also helps you manage stress more efficiently and that allows
you to better take care of your body.
