Chris Caldwell asked me if anyone has worked on the New Mersenne conjecture (see http://primes.utm.edu/glossary/page.php?sort=NewMersenneConjecture )
His web page states it has been verified for all p < 100,000. I'm sure this bound has been improved upon. But has anyone worked on the last 3 or 4 Mersenne primes?
Conrad Curry had a page on the NMC, but it has been offline for a while. I took a copy off archive.org and updated it with the information I have. It is at http://home.in.tum.de/~kruppa/NMC.html
But this location is only temporary.
