You know if newer versions of mailman offer anything like that? Looks
like I'm running >.1.4, which I doubt is the latest.
It must be able to. I just found a link on mailman's docs which states in
can obscure a subscriber list to prevent spam harvesters from collecting the
addresses.

that level of obfuscation is in place here... it uses -at- instead of @ and
'dot' instead of '.' ...
The original requester was suggesting more obscure obfuscation...
I could just disable the archives entirely, or make them subscriber private,
either option is a click away.
