doesn't the expected completion date vary according to the
non-prime95 load on the cpu over the previous
completion-date-reporting-interval, just like Yves observes?

So .. it seems like the predicted finsih is very dependent on recent
progress ?
The expected completion date shouldn't vary like this. Did you perhaps
change the option "Hours per day this program will run"?
