Lucky you. I've no personal experience but hear *lots* of reports of non-Prime95-related problems with Vista. > Every time I > run it, always within an hour or so, and many times within minutes of > starting, I get Vista's dreaded "Prime95 has stopped working" error > box. > > Has anyone else had this problem? I haven't gone looking for it. I won't under any circumstances be buying Vista (or any system with Vista preloaded) and I won't infringe Microsoft's copyright by running an illegal copy. > Anybody got any suggestions (and > I'm sorry, but "use Linux" or "go back to XP" are not helpful > answers)? Those answers may not be helpful to *you* but the users you're supporting might find them *very* helpful. One thing you might try (if you have patience and money to burn) is running virtualization software on Vista, load a copy of XP (or Win 9x) into that and run prime95 in the XP (or Win 9x) virtual machine.
