if you dont have dos2unix, you can simply open the text file with
"nano" (a simple editor, I think it is present in almost all
distributions), press ctrl-o to save, chose a new file name (or keep
the same), but before pressing ENTER to save, press alt-d to change
mode (msdos <-> unix)
