Good idea. Some PC cases have a plastic funnel for exactly that.

Mmmm... Very hot CPU but cool heatsink, and still cool even with a slow
fan speed... That strongly suggests that you have a poor thermal contact
between the heatsink base and the CPU package... 60 deg C should be too
hot to touch. You should have only a few deg C temperature difference
between your heatsink and CPU package.


Can you try the trick to disable cpu2 and other other cores as an
experiment with your present setup?


Then see if things are improved if you reseat the heatsink?

That should be worthwhile if only to confirm the temperatures.


Any others with Barcelona temperatures to compare?
