Does anyone know how I can get my HP Officejet Pro 8500 working with OpenSolaris? It is not listed in the Print Manager GUI so I have tried selecting various different printers, including Generic Esc/P and Generic PCL 3 and these don't work - the printer produces pages with a single line of garbage along the top.
Is is possible to add an appropriate driver to OpenSolaris to allow me to print, or will I need to wait for OpenSolaris to be updated with support for this printer? Thanks Andrew. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
