Hi Ghee, thanks again. I am quite new to Solaris, probably I am missing something. I interpreted my check results such that by installing the packages SUNWcups +SUNWcups-lib I'll get the cupsr+cupsu contained therein. The cups.xml is present on the location you mentioned, I am also in the sys- group, etc.
Interestingly, in the mean time I upgraded another box to snv_99 that started off the release CD, and, while showing the identical pkg information, enabling cups worked at once as expected. So, evidently, it is a problem of using the snv_99 snapshot ISO. Something is still missing. Cheers, Wolfgang -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
