If your OpenSolaris "Solaris LP Server" is built to use foomatic scripts and PPD files, see http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/printing/, then the Solaris 'printmgr' should show a list of all the printers theoretically supported by Printer Maker/Model. Solaris 10, and Solaris 9 later updates, is built to use this. In theory, any printer that has a PPD (PostScript Printer Description) file should work on Solaris. New PPDs are being added to the linuxprinting.org printer database all the time. So you could find suitable PPDs there if they are not already installed on your system.
