I have heard conflicting opinions on whether "health plan operations"
Counts for the managed care operations or only the provider with the
consent. Will you please share with me your thoughts?

Since this appears to be an optional requirement, we are leaning
strongly towards not requiring consents except in the cases where
accreditation requires us to do so.

Our HIPAA Committee has decided to not require consents based on the
information we have today. I am wondering what other health plans
