An issue has come up regarding home health care. Aides are paid by the Provider who performs billing for all work.
When an aide arrives at the home or facility to perform services, a transaction is completed via an automated system to verify eligibility. Each aide is assigned certain patients by the provider. If there is a substitute aide representing the same provider for a patient or group of patients, is it correct to assume that in a role-based environment the aide substituting can receive eligibility information on the additional patients assigned?
