Hello Jerry.
Thank you for the reply and I will be looking forward to signing such a
potition if one is drawn up.
It is kind of sad that a member of the development team won't even look at
the possibility and writes it off as difficult.
This is how so many companys view disscussion of accessability and it seems
so many times that at first we run into a brick wall before even having a
chance to break through and get things done.
a reply of this kind from a development team is just an easy excuse of
getting out of having to deal with a sertain secter of the public.
For a while, this proffession of getting into recording ingineering or
possibly operating a recording studio gave some of us a glimmer of hope but
with the revamping of the os system in the mack and digidesigns unwilling
atitude to work with apple to make there program accessable puts a damper on
things.
I know that in the Nashville Tennessee area, most of the recording studios
here use the protools software.
I think there is a training school here for recording techs or ingineers but
that would pritty much lock me out of taking any training or going to such a
school if they use protools.
I know this is a mac list so I won't bring up protools for windows except to
say that even with the windows screen readers, getting around the screen
with the mouse cursoring keys of either screen reader is difficult at best
because a lot of the buttons in protools for xp are not labled and some of
the buttons are non detectible with the mouse cursoring keys of either
windows screen reader.
Are there any other options out there for recording software of high quality
for the mac that is used in recording studios?
Good luck and I think it would be a good idea to get a potition up and send
it to Digidesign with a whole lot of names.
Tracy Son.
