And how about Raw
processing/transferring to Mac? Any problems/comments?

Dear Anthony,

Have had the d100 for about 3 months now and am very happy, especially
as I bought the sb28dx flash gun and the vc grip (something you can't
with a s2). When shooting raw you will be ok in uncompressed mode as it
has a four frame buffer running. Compressed mode, well yawn, yawn,
though I do use it sometimes. Ok its only usb1, bit you could get a card
reader and take the card out on location to your laptop and have usb2
card reader. It does tale 20 minutes for my 1gb micro drive to download
to my pc. I havent got a laptop so havn't used in field like that. I
have even used it for gigs at 1600asa and been happy as well, especially
with the fill in flash.

I use bibble to process the raw files, which I have been happy with. I
would advise as with any dslr though to manually focus at all times.

That problem has been discussed a lot on the list.

If you can afford a d1x I would get one, even second hand, as it has a
few upgrades available, the most useful being the buffer upgrade for you
and everything you need. Plus if you use bibble, It will res up the
shorter pixel count side and give you a 30mb file if you shoot raw. Plus
if you are shooting outside the d1x has a flash synch of 1/500 and up to
1/8000 with a dx flashgun, so allowing you to more flexible if need be.

Hope that helps

cheers
