Many thanks to Ian Reynolds & David Townend for the tips, which help
considerably. Surprised to hear about David's "dire" results using older
manual Nikkors (I use them too) since everyone says digital benefits from
using the best lenses, and some (like the AI 28/f2) are really excellent
performers that I had assumed would be great with a DSLR. Must check out
Bibble, and card readers...
