one comment is that it seems essential to use Canon paper with their
inks, there is apparently a special relationship between Canon's inks
and their own coatings. Coiuld be great science, could be clever
marketing, wahtever it's me saying it not them, so it's quite defiitely
correct. [Of course someone might come up with a suitable paper, good
for them if they do.]

I've read of some irrgualrities in big gradated areas like skies but
not seen it, it does seem fast though. However, I wonder if it's as
good as the 2100 promises to be.

I think you'll need a custom profile to get really accurate colour [as
with all inkjets] and I hope you'll consider getting Thomas at Pixl to
do it for you [www.pixl.dk, Pixl profiling kit also available to
download at http://www.neilbarstow.co.uk]. 
Thomas and I put an incredible amount of research into keeping up with
the profiling world such that Pixl profiles have an amazing reputation
with users of this listserver.

We recently made some profiles for the Canons in the Rochester Photo
School at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and reports are very
good.
