Richard, The 9000 is superb for speed ( 1 min for A4, 2 for A3), very quiet and very colour accurate ( you have to remember to use the printer profile as the output space to get it to work properly). The quality is far better than that of the 1290 ( I tested and was going to buy one) and having seen 2100 prints, I would say that it is easily as good as that too.
Prints on PhotoPro paper (PR101) genuinely look like photographic hand prints. I give them to clients in preference to machine prints from neg. I have printed hundreds of prints with it and it perfectly viable to use it for runs of 50 or more. There is no banding on flat tone, if you use it correctly. My only issue is with print fading, but I suspect that applies to any dye printer. Behind glass, the prints are fine, but near a window.... This is the only place the 2100 has a real advantage. Nick WB. PS The thing I really like, having used Epsons for years ( 600, 800, 5000 & 1200) is that it rarely does a cleaning cycle, when it does it is very quick and very quiet. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nick Wilcox-Brown, Photographer E: [EMAIL PROTECTED] W: www.NickWB.com > I get frustrated at the amount of time it takes to print, I > am considering > purchasing a Canon S9000. > > Has anyone used the printer, if so what are the results like? > > Richard =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
