Before anyone buys a storage device I strongly suggest that they read all
the info posted on both
www.dpreview.com and www.robgalbraith.com
I researched buying one of these products and came to the conclusion after
talking to users of wallets and reading many many posts that there were good
and very bad devices out there. The only one that I would have any
confidence in is the new digital wallet called the "Vista" which can be
found on
www.nixvue.com
Saying that, its an awful lot of dosh. So, I decided to buy a laptop which
has bigger storage and allows me to write back-up cds.
What I really want from a storage device is the ability to have it firewired
to the camera and to be able to download files as I shoot them. I put this
to one of the developers of the Nixvue, he said that that function was quite
sometime off.
