Dear Callan "Sometime off" in the digital world means next month doesn't it? I didn't realise it because I wasn't technically aware enough but this is what I asked for a few months back, almost unlimited data storage on the move. I don't mind a cable going from the camera to a pocket, belt pouch or a camera bag. I would need something that could recharge from a car battery system but all the information I am getting is that I would need different charging systems and probably different heavy battery packs. I am spending a bit of time this winter thinking about some projects for next year. One involves about 80 images to be taken in a short time followed by 60 images. This will be in the wilds of the country. I have no idea of how many frames will be used for each image so would need to carry some kind of fast and efficient storage device. A laptop is out of the question because I don't have control of the cows and sheep which will be in the field. Film would be the easy answer but the saving on scan costs shooting digitally is 1200.
