Hi Adrian,

Metamerism is a function of the ink primarily, and ink&paper partially. I
have not yet heard of a colour archival inkset that does not metamerise;
even reviews of the latest Epson Ultrachrome inks are mixed with respect to
the metamerism and it's acceptability.

On Monochrome, the only inks that I am aware of that do not metamerise are
the Piezography PiezoTone inks... or perhaps more accurately, I have not
noticed any and the most harsh description of them from some users (some
pretty tough-to-please mono specialists) is that what metamerism there is is
at an acceptable level.

But metamerism is not necessarily present only in archival inks... it can be
found in other inksets too.
