Dear pals,
I joined up recently and have come in late on what appears to be
a severely frayed thread on Display Monitor Comp check(PS 5+).
My apoIogies, hope you will bear with me
I work with it checked,in Adobe rgb1998 as advised right from the
start, screen Adobe gamma calibrated every couple of months ok.
But when Saving to Web,or straight jpegs into browser(IE 5.1) from here I
get washed out results. The difference appearing to be about the same as the
monitor compensation.
So for this destination only,I adjust duplicate files in srgb DMC unchecked.
These then look close as dammit on web/browser as the originals onscreen in
rgb 1998 with DMC checked,in spite of my unease that this might be a dodgy
and/or time consuming get out.
Is it?
Geoff
