The problem is with everyday jobbing images, which can too easily be used by other people. "oh sorry, the marketing department got hold of the trannies/tiffs and they did not know they could not use them..." This has always been a problem in pre digi days, where the trannies would be sent to the agency by the Photographer and then would end up in other peoples hands. I once shot an image of a fireman for an A4 ad, and it ended up (cropped horribly from 6x7) on the side of a bus. As it was a few years ago when I was a newbie I did nothing about it......now a days I'd Invoice 'em by return of post, and get annoyed down the phone! A lot of agencies etc tend to try it on...and see if anyone notices. It can create BIG probs when Models and Model release forms are involved. If clients are playing blind mans' buff like this I don't see even photographer details/copyright etc permanently burned into the tiff making much difference. paul sav =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
