Yes, true. Targus make a small in-line protector that prevents a connection with a 
digital line - which could be disastrous apparently and fry your modem or worse.  Buy 
them at airports.  Costs around �25.  I'm told that ideally you need a "digital to 
analogue converter" but I've scoured everywhere  for one of these and no one knows 
what on earth I'm talking about.  Anyone know a source, or a manufacturer's name or 
anything?
