It could be that your supplier's customer doesn't have his 2100 set up correctly. I found on the 9600 that using the Photo Black with art papers produces an awful result, no black and overall contrast very low. Putting the Matte Black cartridge in transformed everything and the difference was dramatic. Photo Black, I believe, is more suited for glossy stock and the overwhelming opinion I hear is that for art papers you have to use the Matte Black.
