Dear Prodiggers,
I need to install broadband at home and at the studio (studio street has NTL
cable, home does not). I am a Mac user.
I use NTL quite happily. They have recently upped the speed of their basic offering to 600 something mb/s at no charge and the thing works perfectly well. I did have some hassles which I blamed on them but turned out to be a router I was using. They were pretty slow at responding but gave me a refund for a couple of months in the end. Enough to pay for a new router... :-)

They do not support OSX, they only support windoze up to Win95!! ( I believe...) but it's so easy, just ask them for information to enter into a couple of boxes and you're done. Connecting with a Mac is so incredibly easy be it using OS9 or X, over ethernet anyway, you shouldn't have any probs. You don't need any external software.

I'm happy to recommend them but play hardball with them. I posted messages on nthellworld.com (?) for a while and soon had emails from management and a new set-top box installed post haste.
