Dear Jonathan

Until the cameras actually hit the shops we won't know. Apparently European
sales are handled from Kodak in Stuttgart. The Euro price will be converted
to pounds which is currently E 6995 in Germany and E 5889 in Ireland. In the
US ads quote a price of $4995. That is about $1,000 difference or 634
sterling.

As I will also be looking for about four prime lenses I will compare US
prices for those too.

I think you are right about supply. The specification of the camera fits many
more photographic situations than the other digital options for many
photographers.
