Hi All

Just been window shopping and comparing cameras on DPreview. Much easier on
the nerves than Wood Green Shopping City on a Saturday just before THAT time
of year!

Does anyone know if a RAW converter for the S2 has been released by a third
party? DPreview didn't rate Fuji's software too much though it is an old
review.

I noticed when comparing an image shot with the S2 and D100, any rounded
shapes or diagonals faired worse when shot with the S2 whereas any
horizontals and verticals fared better. Also, the color balance was awful
for the S2. You can clearly see a cast in the Kodak chart and elsewhere in
the image (noticeably the silver bottle tops, labels borders, silver watch,
white paper - basically everywhere).

DPreview seems to favour the S2 but the D100 seems ahead to me when
comparing images, especially the text looks less jaggy in the D100 image.
Both the images have been sharpened in camera so it maybe just the different
USM algorithms they use that's to blame but DPreview seems to think it's the
array of S2 sensors that causes 'moire'. Sadly, they don't feature any faces
in the comparison images!

Any comments from owners of S2's and D100's?
